Edward (Ned) Meagher (“Mar”) is a Senior partner at Carter DeLuca and joined the firm in 2002.

He has expertise in all phases of U.S. and International patent, trademark, trade secret and copyright prosecution.

Mr. Meagher advises clients who are primarily involved in building strategic IP portfolios in the electromechanical/mechanical arts, medical devices, software design, IOT, control systems, hydrogen systems, aerospace engineering, drone and anti-drone technologies.

He also is directly involved in the management and licensing of IP assets for emerging business clients. In addition, Mr. Meagher prepares complex License Agreements, Research and Development Agreements, Freedom-to-Operate Opinions, and Validity Opinions.

Mr. Meagher has over 29 years of experience in developing strong and strategic IP Portfolios for U.S. and International clients ranging from Start-ups to Fortune 500 clients.

He also works closely with R&D teams and innovation hubs such as Q-Branch to facilitate commercialization of products in the U.S. market via careful, legal analysis of the competitive patent landscape - thereby lessening the risk of possible product infringement.

Mr. Meagher is a frequent lecturer at many U.S Companies, U.S. Universities, and U.S. Innovation Hubs and at various institutions all over the world.
